Meet us in Port-au-Prince for the 2018 Haiti National State of Health Congress!

May 7, 2018

VecnaCares leadership will be participating in Ansanm Pou Ayti’s 2018 National State of Health Congress in Port-au-Prince for a two-day summit scheduled May 10th & 11th. Ansanm Pou Ayti is a change agency based in Haiti which hosts an annual Nonprofit & NGO summit. The conference gathers over 200 policy makers, government officials, stakeholders and both public & private executives. An innovative event which will draw an arena of inspiring exchange and highlight pioneering projects as well as individuals involved in Haiti’s health sector.

Our founder and chairwoman Debbie Theobald will be speaking at the “Access to Healthcare & Improving Quality of Care” panel alongside other accomplished speakers whose works are involved in healthcare and patient data solutions. The session will cover topics ranging from operating stand-up clinics, affordability challenges and infrastructure issues. Topics will also cover maintaining a quality system and sharing best practices and standards throughout these projects.

Debbie will be discussing VecnaCares’ involvement in Haiti’s health sector development through our project with C2C (Care 2 Communities). C2C has created high-quality community clinics that offer consultations with a physician, pharmacy access, and an on-site diagnostic lab.  In collaboration with VecnaCares,  a streamlined Electronic Medical Records  systems has been developed and implemented that captures aspects of patient clinical care, doctor-patient interaction, demographic data, diagnoses, prescriptions, and follow-ups. The tablet-based system fosters optimal patient flow at the clinic day-to-day, as patients travel from registration to consultation, labs, and pharmacy.

Our partnership with C2C helps us achieve our goal to successfully follow each individual’s health trajectory in real time – helping monitor population health and relay important patient data information to the Haitian Ministry of Health. By collecting digital patient data, the Ministry of Health has an opportunity to enhance monitoring activities and  and implement solutions to elevate the quality of patient care in Haiti.

We look forward to sharing our journey with the rest of the participants of the summit.
