CLINICAL DECISION SUPPORT
iDeliver was designed collaboratively with the woman in mind. Its interface allows providers an intuitive, non-linear, and flexible workflow and its features assist in organizing daily operations and activities, all with a goal of promoting woman-centered care.
The iDeliver application streamlines and improves data collection while also significantly reducing time needed for aggregation and reporting. Hours that could be used for women’s care are instead used for manual report compilation. iDeliver collects women-level data and automatically generates a reporting suite which is needed for both facility operations and national health system review.
iDeliver aims to reduce the time between a woman's arrival at the clinic to her diagnosis by providing a complaint-oriented triage, focused on the reduction of the five of the major causes of maternal death. The tool assists healthcare workers in triaging, prioritizing, diagnosing, managing and referring the patient based on her history, symptoms and signs.
The application provides the healthcare worker with three categories of information about each patient: acuity level, possible diagnoses and treatment guidance.
The application spans from ANC visits to the intra-partum period and
includes post-natal care. Delivery monitoring and treatment management plans are provided for normal labor and complications, which frequently occur during pregnancy or labor.
With iDeliver, the workflow is fully digitized, allowing the most critical data to be prioritized and organized more easily. Full documentation of the woman’s data can be collected, allowing clinicians to use the application to diagnose and treat while simultaneously recording interactions. Treatment data is available in real-time, and less time spent collecting data means more time treating patients.
The application is built on an open source framework and is inter-operable with health information systems.
“Sometimes I am the only person on staff for several days and it is difficult to monitor all of the women while tending to other patients.”
“It is difficult for our facility to prioritize our patients and keep track of when they arrive.”
